Welcome to the good old days!
My name is Alecia Warner. I am 35, married 12 years and mother of two
boys 11 and 18. I work in the insurance industry. I have two dogs, Laina our mini red smooth Dachshund and Angie our Great Dane. No this is not a misprint, talk about the show "The Ugly
Dachshund" - we live the show at home!! REALLY Hee Hee.
. I am also the proud owner of one Beta fish named
"Sherman". I love to sit and watch him for hours at a time a real
relaxing pastime.
I am also a certified water instructor. I have had three back
surgeries and this has caused me to educate myself in water therapy. I
give therapy classes 5 days a week twice a day. It is great for my
health and those I give therapy to.
My hobbies are OTR, quilting, and dog training. I also collect VHS of
all the horror shows that star Vincent Price and Peter Cushing. My VHS
collection also consists of "The Sherlock Holmes Series" starring Basil
Rathbone and Nigel Bruce. I am in the process of starting a log of all the
VHS shows I have too.
I started collecting OTR about 3 years ago, all commercial copies. I
spent a fortune! In May of 1996 I had about 300 shows, after finding all
the OTR sites and friends I now have well over 3500 shows in my
list and growing. I got started listening to OTR after I had checked
a show (OTR) out from my local library, it was "The Price of Fear"
starring Vincent Price. Up to that point I had only collected VHS horror
movies and Basil Rathbone "The Sherlock Holmes" shows. I could not
believe how exciting the show was done on radio. It was really more
interesting than a movie in my opinion.
I am the only one in my family that really likes OTR so you can imagine
what that is like. Any spouses out there having to do it alone? They
(spouses) cannot understand the drive behind listening to and getting
these shows. It is sort of an addiction I guess, but at least I am at
home and not out committing a crime, right? Anyway I share and loan
(locally) out as many shows as I can get people to listen to. I have
donated to my local library and taken shows to the elderly. I really
want OTR to survive and grow! "IT" is truly a great hobby!
Here are my favorite OTR sites:
