Dear Alecia: I tried e-mailing you at both your e-mail addresses -- they came back as "inactive." So I am trying this method to contact you. I just finished visiting your very nice web site. Before I forget, the link to the Old Time Bulletin Board has moved. The link now takes you to Westwood.com, which handles the CBS Radio material. While I could not find the bulletin board (let me know if you do) I was able to locate the Osgood Files, which I always enjoyed hearing on the radio (but now the local stations had either moved it or dropped it), so "Thank you" for that discover. I am a professor of history (teach both college and high school) and an avid OTR fan. While I have some 350 + different cassettes, I have recently moved over to the MP3 format. I can listen to a CD (MP3) either on my computer or via my AIWA CD-MP3 player (Rio Volt, also makes one) with a car attachment in my vehicle. At present I have TWO duplicate MP3 CD series, which I would be willing to trade for either cassettes or MP3 -CD programs. The first is "Have Gun Will Travel" -- 106 programs on one CD (MP3 format) -- virtually the entire run of that show which was on radio Nov. 1958-Nov. 1960 and starred John Dehner. The other is a SIX disk set of CD's -- 413 episodes of "Gunsmoke" starring William Conrad, which aried 1952 to 1961. Conrad, unfortunately in my opinion, was denied the role of Matt Dillon on the TV version of "Gunsmoke" mainly because he was heavyweight! On radio he really personified the marshali. He later went on to play on TV in "Cannon," Nero Wolfe," Jake and the Fatman" after working behind the scenes as the narrator of the original "Fugitive" TV series, not to mention "The Invaders" and "Rocky and Bullwinkle." I read that you are a fan of Vincent Price and I have about 18 shows of him as "The Saint" (another of my favorites). Do you have an interest to trade for the MP3 CD's I have mentioned above? I played him on CBS-TV and Radio from December 1950 through spring of 1951, when I quit. Yes, I too am the only radio enthusiast in the family with a stash of audio. I particularly like subtle drama, mystery and comedy, with personalities like Orson Welles, Jack Webb, Bob and Ray, and anything scripted by Norman Corwin or Paul Rhymer. Fran Striker (Lone Ranger, Green Hornet & Sgt. Preston originator) is a local radio writing legend and his scripts are stored at the University of Buffalo.
