The Writings of Dr. Walter J. Beaupre

Walter's picture
Walter had been in the radio industry for over 50 years. He was an educator (Professor Emeritus) and prolific writer. I am certain you will find the reading extremely interesting (especially from the point of view of a person who has lived it) and helpful.

The Writings of Jack French

Jack's picture
Jack has been collecting, researching and editing OTR-related material for the past 20 years. He edited NARA NEWS for five years and his well-researched articles have appeared in half a dozen OTR pubs in the U.S. In 1993 he won the Allen Rockford Award at Newark for his contributions to OTR research. He is a past president of the Metro Washington Old Time Radio Club and currently edits its publication, "Radio Recall." Jack has conducted extensive research on radio's female crime-fighters, Bobby Benson, RCMP heroes on radio, Ft. Laramie, aviator shows and is currently working on the topic of Oriental roles in OTR. A retired FBI Agent, he now does civilian clearances for the USAF. Jack is a special friend of mine and of all OTR collectors

The Writings of Jim Widner

Jim's charicature
Jim is a fellow "Web Master" and maintains his own excellent site called: "Radio Days: A Sound-bite History." If you haven't already been there you should do so as soon as possible. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Jim has acquired special expertise in several genre. Particularly science-fiction, and together with Meade Frierson III, he authored the most comprensive book thus far on the subject. "Science Fiction on Radio"

The Writings of Jack Mann

Jack is very familiar to many of you because of what is lovingly known as: "Jack's KILLER List of OTR Web Sites". This is, without a doubt, the most comprehensive list of just about any Web Site that has anything to do with Old Time Radio. If you haven't already been there, you should do so as soon as you possibly can. Jack not only is an avid OTR collector, but is also a really nice guy. He wants to help out the OTR collectors and traders with his newly written "A Guide to OTR Trading" (see below). Jack says that he would like feedback on this Guide so that it will be THE perpetual handbook on OTR trading.
